Workers Memorial Day logo

 An event will take place called Remember the Dead- Fight for the Living in Birmingham, for Workers Memorial Day on Saturday 28th April at 12.30pm in The Grounds of St Philips Cathedral, Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2QB

The event remembers workers who died in work based accidents all over the world because the employers decided that safety wasn't a priority. The current theme will also be campaigning for safer workplaces.

Speakers will Include:

Lee Barron, Regional Secretary, Midlands TUC

Howard Beckett, UNITE the union, Acting Midlands Regional Secretary

Kathy Gaffney, West Midlands Hazards Trust
