Equal Pay

The following is a statement on Equal Pay from UNISON

“UNISON is aware of reports of payments for so called 3rd Generation equal pay claims. We are investigating and taking advice and will report back with advice for members once we understand the situation properly.

UNISON is also pressing for the settlement of approximately 2000 1st and 2nd generation and county court claims. These claims were due for settlement approximately a year ago however the Council have continually pushed back the date for settlement and are saying they will be in a position to pay claims in October 2018. We find this delay unacceptable and we are taking this matter up at Chief Executive level to better understand the delay.”
