Reasonable Adjustment Survey
As Disabled Members’ Officer I am concerned that some managers' awareness of disability issues and their responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments is not as it should be.
I conducted a survey in 2015 of disabled members to see what their experiences are in regards to their managers understanding of their disability as well as their experience of getting reasonable adjustments.
I would like to repeat this survey to see if anything has changed in three years and whether disabled members would benefit from having individually tailored reasonable adjustment agreements or a Charter that would not only include a set of rights for disabled staff, but also a set of employer’s responsibilities.
