Birmingham Council House

Birmingham City Council have again announced proposed savings as part of their budget.

The Council announced today (12/12/17) within 2017/18 there is a saving of £40m to be made and in 2018/19 £14m. In total £54 m will be saved.

For 2018/19 the proposals are that Peoples Directorate will save £3.5m , Place will be £1.3m , Economy around £1.1m and Stategic will be around a  £1m.

Efficiency and other measures will take the total to £14m.

The consultation period has now finished.
