Corbyn vows to over turn Union law.
The General Election was a surprise announcement and over the coming weeks until June 8th you'll be hearing a lot about it!
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has already stated on 24th April at the Scottish TUC Conference that he will repeal the recent Trade Union Act. His speech was decscribed as " passionately pro-Union" and he said he wanted to restore collective bargaining in certain sectors.
Corbyn also mentioned public enquiries would be set up into the 1984 Battle of Orgreave during the Miners Strike.
Meanwhile Labour's Brexit Secretary Sir Kier Starmer has said the party would tear up the Great Repeal Bill and replace it with laws to protect workers rights, as they are now in EU-law.
He said "We will work with Trade Unions, businesses and stakeholders to ensure there is a consensus on this vital issue."
