members join Brum Trump protests

A large crowd gathered on a rainy cold night outside the Council House to protest at the recent declarations by US President Trump that people from seven Muslim majority countries, incluiding Syrian refugees, would not be let into the USA.

They were also protesting at Prime Minister Theresa May's invite to Trump to the UK not being cancelled in the aftermath of his policy.

Protests were going on all over the UK and Brum's was set up with about 24 hours notice. Many speakers were there and a large number of people including Unison members attended.

Another protest outside Waterestone's in Birmingham High St is planned for this Saturday (4th Feb)at 2pm.

As of the time of writing, President Trump has not changed his mind in the face of US and international outrage and the Prime Minister has not cancelled the invite to the UK.
