So Carillion have bit the dust. The Paradise Circus development in Brum has also halted ,even though it's developers Argent that have got the contract to build it. It turns out Carillion also has its fingers in running public services for hospitals, even libraries.

So  all this debacle goes to prove that the Tories have it wrong when they insist Private is better than Public sector. I doubt that the public sector would have frittered away the pension fund of its workers , or have bosses on 600k bonuses even when they've left the company. Surely there has to be an investigation on the cosy relationship between Carillion and the Government continuing to award it contracts , even after a profit warning?

These faceless corporate companies like Amey, Serco, Interserve and the rest should all be taken in hand and investigated for finanacial soundness.

Even better, bring the whole lot back into the Public Sector. Corbyn and the Labour Party are capturing a lot of the public mood for re-nationalising services and making a case for Public not Private sector.

see the Guardian article for Corbyn's comments.
