Library of Birmingham blame game starts again

It looks as if the members of the wound up Library of Birmingham Trust are trying to blame the Council cuts for their inability to attract funds.

Tory Councillor Randall Brew said once the cuts were imposed it was hard to attract funds.

However, the article in the Post does point out that the Trust consitantly failed to meet its' targets. It turns out that former leader Albert Bore scrapped plans to turn over control of the Library to the trust.

Unison Birmingham did not support the Trust and was campaigning to keep the Library in public ownership.
