After Dispatches -the blame game starts with Brigid Jones

The fall out from Channel 4's documentary about Birmingham's Social Services continues. The Tories in Brum tried to make political points out of the programme in calling for trhe resignation of Councillor Brigid Jones.

Cllr Jones is head of Children's Services and after it was exposed as failing in its job, Tory opponents want a change.

Of course this could be out of concern for the service, but maybe they are just trying to score political points, or both?

The Trust idea has been given a very wary reception by UNISON and there are no guarantees that the idea will fix the problem of over work, under recruitment and low staff morale which was  exposed by the programme.
